about me
I'm Mark Elswick. Just an ordinary man with an extraordinary plan, proud of where I'm from, knowledgable from where I've been, and anxious to get where I'm going.
Get comfortable and hear me out:
I'm a proud Traumatic Brain Injury survivor who has been luckier than you could ever imagine. There is absolutely no explainable reason why/how I'm as functional, independent, and self supportive as I am. Thankfully, the Good Lord also kept my knack for writing in tact and, finally, I'm sharing it with the world. Seeing so many TBI victims who aren't as fortunate, I'm pecking the keyboard to give back to those who aren't as lucky as I've been.
Though I will donate to TBI with everything I ever write, I don't plan to always write about TBI. Eventually (soon) I want to delve into the professional sports world, chronicling athletes who have overcome the impossible to reach the ultimate level in their chosen sport. Basically, I'm what some would call a "sports freak." I love baseball, football, hockey, and college/h.s. basketball--NOT an NBA fan, though I absolutely LOVE college and high school basketball; sorry Mr. Stern.
I have big plans ahead for my writing career. Therefore, even if I don't know you yet, hop on board and come with me as I raise awareness and money for TBI; it's going to be an amazing ride..
